In the earliest industrial design stages, our mechanical engineers are involved in planning and consulting to ensure that the emerging design solutions embody appropriate engineering and manufacturing practices.

Definitive Design’s engineers analyze each product design to determine how to best accelerate the manufacturing process in the most cost efficient manner. Often by choosing the appropriate manufacturing technology, substantial saving in cost and time can be achieved.

Our engineering team offers technical capabilities that range from mechanical engineering, complex mechanism, electronic design, material science, as well as thorough understanding of manufacturing technologies.

Expertise includes:

• Study feasibility of product function
• Generate design inputs and outputs
• Perform Mechanical Engineering (Pro-E / Solid Works)
• Incorporate electronic development, PCB, microprocessor, software
• Integrate assembly layout and component design
• Select material and manufacturing process
• Verify and validate design
• Design test fixtures
• Complete device testing
• Build proof-of-concept breadboards,Perform part inspection and generate test programs

Our engineering includes the end manufacturer, whether they be Paramount or another Vendor, as early in the process as possible.
We have found through 20 years of experience that 3 different Vendors may approach the same product 3 different ways.
We know that the earlier the end manufacturer is involved in the development process, the more smoothly and quickly the product will move to production.
