Marvel® - Super Heroes Train Set

Project Scope

Marvel® wanted to create a train set that would offer preschoolers an opportunity to let their imaginations run wild. The Super Heroes Train Set was designed to combine a train with popular super heroes in a way that creates an exciting carnival atmosphere.

Concept Development and Refinement
Engineering layout
Translation of color renderings into 3D CAD
Prototype testing and evaluation
Breadboard Models creation
Fully functional prototype construction from SLA, SLS, and urethane castings for testing and sales samples
Production turnover to Asian manufacturer.

The Result

Our early completion of the Super Heroes Train Set, despite the short development schedule, brought the train set to market earlier than anticipated. The final products were manufactured for less than the budgeted production cost. The Super Heroes Train Set has been so popular that it has sold out at large retailers.
