• scan and reverse engineer the shape of the i355 phone
• Use Pro/Engineer’s advanced surfacing module to provide mechanical design of the sculpted PC/ABS substrate and Santoprene overmold
• grow SLA engineering check model for internal and client review
• refine mechanical design based on SLA model
• cast urethane components in order to validate design
• select materials for production

The Airclic i355 cover is a durable and attractive 2 shot case for the cell phone and scanner.  Collaboration with the client, imagination, and close attention to the client’s wishes resulted in a compelling form that provides unparalleled function.
