Acculab / Laboratory Balance

Project Scope

Acculab, a cutting edge producer of electronic balances, sought our expertise in developing a new inexpensive line.   By showing a line of balances with a family look, they sought to justify the development costs to their new European parent company.

Development Path

• provide concept sketches
• generate computer generated photo renderings

• complete FEA to determine stresses and loads
• engineer for low production cost
• build engineering proving model
• produce 2D production documentation
• provided manufacturing support, vendor liaison

The Benefits

These renderings provide the basis for a professional sales brochure that proved key in securing support from the parent company.  More importantly they were able to use our renderings in place of a photograph of the actual product in their primary sales catalogue.  This allowed Acculab to introduce and sell the product a full year earlier than projected!
